6mm Sewn Cord

We have several different lengths of 6mm sewn cord in the kit. The shorter pieces are used for progress capture in a system that uses a pulley.

When configured with a micro pulley, it lets you hook up a 2:1 or 3:1 system to use as part of the Sit-Stand method  to ascend a rope.  Our prusik-minding pulley will advance when needed, and then self-lock when needed.  Here's an example of how it looks with a pulley:

The longest one in the kit is 44" long and, it is designed to be used as an edge restraint or belay tether  or it can also be used as a leg loop for the Sit-Stand method, with the top part hooked in to the main rope with a prusik.
All of the 6mm cord is 12.5 kN (2,810), with a working strength of 281 pounds.  If you and your pack are above that number, there is also a similar line of products in larger sizes that may be more appropriate for you.
